Privacy Policy

PassVault ("we", "our", or "the app") is a password manager developed by LifeLayer Apps. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

PassVault stores all your vault data locally on your device in an encrypted format. We do not operate servers that collect or store your personal information.

• Vault Entries: Titles, passwords, categories, and timestamps you enter are encrypted with AES-256-GCM and stored locally on your device.
• Master Password: Your master password is never stored directly. A cryptographic key is derived from it using Argon2id and used to encrypt/decrypt your vault. We never have access to your master password.
• iCloud Backup (optional): If you use the iCloud sync/restore feature, your encrypted vault data is stored in your personal iCloud account. We do not have access to your iCloud data. The data remains encrypted at all times.
• App Settings: Preferences such as language, theme, and Face ID settings are stored locally on your device.

2. Encryption

All sensitive data is encrypted using AES-256-GCM with keys derived via Argon2id from your master password. Encryption and decryption happen entirely on your device. We never have access to your master password or your decrypted vault contents.

3. Biometric Data

When you enable Face ID or Touch ID, PassVault uses Apple's LocalAuthentication framework. Biometric data is processed entirely by the Secure Enclave on your device. PassVault never accesses, stores, or transmits biometric data.

4. Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services:

• Google AdMob: Displays advertisements to free users. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalization. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Apple StoreKit: Processes in-app purchases through Apple's payment system.

5. Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, or account information.
• We do not track your location.
• We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal data to third parties.
• We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs beyond what is described above.
• We do not have access to your passwords or vault contents at any time.

6. Children's Privacy

PassVault is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Data Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time by deleting the app from your device. If you used iCloud backup, you can remove the backup from your iCloud storage settings.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date.
